ભુજ તા. ૧૬ દર વર્ષે થતી સિંહ ઉલ્કા વર્ષા જોવા માટે સજ્જ થવા કચ્છ એમેચ્યોર એસ્ટ્રોનોમર્સ ક્લબ ક્લબ દ્વારા યોજાયેલ વાર્તાલાપ દરમ્યાન શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર ગોરે ઉપર મુજબ જણાવ્યું હતું. આ ઉલ્કા વર્ષા ટેમ્પલ ટટલ નામના ધૂમકેતુએ વેરેલા દ્રવ્ય દ્વારા થાય છે. આ વર્ષે સુદ અગિયારસ નો ચંદ્રમા થોડા સમય માટે બાધારૂપ બનશે પરંતુ ૧૭ તારીખ ના મોડી રાત્રી બાદ એટલેકે ૧૮ મીની વહેલી સવારે ૩.૨૪ કલાકે તે અસ્ત પામી જતા ઉલ્કાઓ સારી રીતે નિહાળી શકાશે. સિંહ રાશી નો ઉદય મધ્ય રાત્રી બાદ થતો હોઈ ઉલ્કા વર્ષા પણ ત્યાર બાદ જ શરૂ થશે. આથી આખી રાત્રી ઉજાગરો કરવા કરતાં વહેલી સવારના ૩.૩૦ થી ૫.૩૦ દરમ્યાન જો ઉલ્કાઓનું નિરીક્ષણ કરવામાં આવે તો પણ સારી ઉલ્કાઓ જોવા મળવાની સંભાવના છે. રાત્રે કંઈ દિશામાં ઉલ્કાઓ જોવી જોઈએ ? તેવા પ્રશ્નના જવાબ માં શ્રી ગોરે જણાવ્યું હતું કે શહેરના પ્રકાશિત વાતાવરણ થી દૂરનું સ્થળ આદર્શ સ્થળ કહી શકાય પરંતુ જો ત્યાં ન જઈ શકાય તો જે દિશામાં અંધારું વધારે હોય તે દિશા તરફ મુખ રાખવાથી પણ થોડી ઘણી પ્રકાશિત ઉલ્કાઓ જોઈ શકાશે. ઉલ્કા વર્ષા નિહાળવા માટે કોઈ દૂરબીન કે ટેલીસ્કોપ જેવા સાધનની જરૂર નથી. આ વખતે વાતાવરણ માં રહેલા વાદળો ઉલ્કા વર્ષા જોવા માટે વિલન બની શકે તેમ છે પરંતુ હવે વાદળો વિખેરાવા મંડ્યા છે ત્યારે વહેલી સવારનું આકાશ સ્વચ્છ રહેવાની આશા છે.

ઉલ્કાઓ ની વ્યવસ્થિત નોંઘ થાય અને તે નોંઘ ક્લબ ને મોકલવામાં આવે તેવો અનુરોધ કરતાં તેમણે જણાવ્યું કે આવો ડેટા આંતર રાષ્ટ્રીય સંસ્થાને ઉપયોગી પુરવાર થાય તેમ છે. કચ્છ એમેચ્યોર એસ્ટ્રોનોમર્સ ક્લબ દ્વારા ઉલ્કા વર્ષા નિરીક્ષણ નો કાર્યક્રમ અવકાશ પ્રેમીઓના માનીતા સ્થળ ધોંસા ખાતે રાખવામાં આવેલ છે જે માટે ૯૪૨૮૨૨૦૪૭૨ ઉપર સંપર્ક કરવા જણાવાયું છે. વાર્તાલાપ દરમ્યાન કલબના વિજય વ્યાસે ૧૯૯૮ ના વર્ષ માં થયેલ ભવ્ય ઉલ્કા વર્ષા ના અનુભવો વર્ણવ્યા હતા. રાહુલ ઝોટાએ સ્વાગત કર્યું હતું, નિશાંત ગોરે વ્યવસ્થા સાંભળી હતી જયારે ગુંજન દોશી, આશિષ કોંઢીયા, અર્ચન સોની, ધૈર્ય પટેલ, ભવ્ય મહેતા, વગેરે પ્રશ્નોત્તરી કરી હતી.

નવો જ શોધાયેલો ધૂમકેતુ આઈક્યા - મુરાકામી ( C/2010 V1 ) હાલે વહેલી સવારના દેખાઈ રહ્યો છે.

અત્યારે તેનો તેજાંક ૭ અને ૯ ની વચ્ચે હોવાથી નાના ટેલીસ્કોપ ની મદદથી જોઈ શકાશે કન્યા રાશી ના ચિત્રા તારા ની ઉપર નીચે જણાવ્યા પ્રમાણે જોઈ શકાશે

ઘણા વખતથી ઈચ્છા હતી કે ક્લબ ની પ્રવૃતિઓ તથા તેને લગતી કેટલીક બાબતો આપની સાથે શેર કરું આપ જે પણ લોકો આની સાથે જોડાયેલા હોવ તમામ ને નમ્ર વિનંતી કે આપ પણ આપનો પ્રતિભાવ અનુભવ સ્મરણો જરૂરથી મોકલશો

કચ્છ એમેચ્યોર એસ્ટ્રોનોમર્સ કલબ નો ઈતિહાસ

સ્થાપના

કચ્છમાં ખગોળની પ્રવૃત્તિ ઘણા વર્ષોથી થતી રહી છે. 1986 માં હેલીના ધૂમકેતુએ લોકોને આ વિષયમાં વધુ આકર્ષિત કર્યા, આકાશ દર્શનનો શોખ ધરાવતા લોકો નજીક આવ્યા અને છૂટક છૂટક કાર્યક્રમો થતા રહ્યા.

તારીખ ૩૦/૧૧/૧૯૯૧ રોજ આ લખનારના ( નરેન્દ્ર ગોરના ) પ્રયત્નથી ભુજથી ૨૧ કિલોમીટર ઉત્તર-પૂર્વ દિશામાં આવેલા મકનપર ધોંસા ખાતે કચ્છ જ્યોતિષ મંડળ દ્વારા આકાશ દર્શનનો એક કાર્યક્રમ રાખવામાં આવ્યો જેમાં ડો. એચ. એચ. ભુડિયા, (લંડન) નવીન બાપટ, (પક્ષીવિદ ) નરેન્દ્ર ગોર સાગર, નિરંજન જોશી ધરાદેવ, ડો. જવાહર ટંડન, પીરભાઈ, સદ. પુરૂસોત્તમ વાસાણી, કિશોર ગડા, ભાનુબેન કોઠારી, વિગેરે હાજર હતા. ચર્ચા દરમ્યાન કચ્છમાં એસ્ટ્રોનોમી ક્લબ રચવાનો વિચાર વહેતો થયો અને હાજર રહેલાઓએ એ વિચારને વધાવી લીધો જેને પરિણામે તારીખ ૧૫/૧૨/૧૯૯૧ ના રોજ ભુજ ખાતે કલબની સ્થાપના કરવામાં આવી.

નોંધ : મકનપર ધોંસા ભુજથી ૨૧ કિલોમીટર ઉતર પૂર્વમાં આવેલું નાનકડું ગામ છે. ત્યાં પ્રાચીન શિવમંદિર છે. નજીકમાં મોટું તળાવ છે. પક્ષીવિદો માટે તે આજે પણ માનીતું સ્થળ છે. લાઈટ પ્રદુષણ ખુબ ઓછું અને ખુબ ચોખું આકાશ!!! રહેવા માટેની ગાદલા - ગોદડા સહિતની સારી સગવડ. જમવાનું બનાવવા માટે વાસણ, બળતણ સહીત તમામ સામગ્રી હાજર!!!! ક્લબના નિયમિત કાર્યક્રમોથી સમગ્ર કચ્છમાં આકાશ દર્શન માટે તે માનીતું અને જાણીતું સ્થળ બની ગયું છે.

Dear Astronomers

Like last year this year also we are organizing all Gujarat Amateurs Astronomers Meet 2009 at Madhavpur (Ghed) Dist Porbandar. The venue is Osho Ashram.

In This Meet we have planned two programs

1 Messier Marathon

This will start on 27th march from 7.30pm onwards up to Sun rise

The site is near by Osho Ashram and very dark we want to encourage our enthusiast astronomers to observe as many M Object as they can

We will reward for best performance

On 28th March

13.30 to 18.00 The Workshop for Total Solar Eclipse 2009 have been organized

The Workshop will be conducted by Mr. Brij Mohan Thakore Reader, Department of Physics, Sardar Patel University, GUJARAT. Mr. Devashish Pradhan Vadodara, Narendra Gor Bhuj

The Formation of Gujarat Astronomers Association will also be done.

The events for IAY also be think over.

1 as whole night observation is there please bring suitable cloths with you

5. The nearest Railway Station is Porbandar (50 Km from the venue)

Here is an announcement for Messier Marathon and Gujarat Meet for the year 2009

The venue is Osho Ashram At Post Madhavpur (Ghed) Dist Porbandar Gujarat

The program is like this (there may be slight change)

Arrival and registration at 4.00 pm

5.00pm welcome note, introduction and briefing about Messier marathon

6.00pm move to the location

6.30pm Setting the Telescopes and selecting the site for observation

7.00 Tea and Refreshment

7.30 the messier marathon start for full night

The dinner, Tea and breakfast will be served at the location

About The Place Madhavpur

Madhavpur (Ghed) is a small but culturally significant village in state of Gujarat. It lies on the seashore, close to Porbandar, birthplace of Gandhi.

According to folklore, lord krishna came to this village after kidnapping Rukmini and got married to her at this very place. In the memory of that event, there is a temple built for lord Madhavray. A celebration of this event is held at Madhavpur in memory of this marriage every year in a cultural fair.

Madhavpur also has one of the meditation centers of Osho

Recently a joint amphibious exercise Tropex-09 by the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and the Coast Guard was conducted on February 09, at Madhavpur beach
