Hope everything at your side is under control. Your preparations must be in final stages. Today I have Examination Duty at my University. So I will start from here tomorrow on 27th early morning. Hope to reach there around 3:00 in the afternoon. I will bring some small astronomy models which I have made. Narendra bhai has seen those models as SGVP in Ahmedabad. See you at Madhavpur tomorrow..

All Gujarat Astronomers Meet2009
Dear Astronomers
Like last year this year also we are organizing all Gujarat Amateurs Astronomers Meet 2009 at Madhavpur (Ghed) Dist Porbandar. The venue is Osho Ashram.
In This Meet we have planned two programs
1 Messier Marathon
This will start on 27th march from 7.30pm onwards up to Sun rise
The site is near by Osho Ashram and very dark we want to encourage our enthusiast astronomers to observe as many M Object as they can
We will reward for best performance
On 28th March
13.30 to 18.00 The Workshop for Total Solar Eclipse 2009 have been organized
The Workshop will be conducted by Mr. Brij Mohan Thakore Reader, Department of Physics, Sardar Patel University, GUJARAT. Mr. Devashish Pradhan Vadodara, Narendra Gor Bhuj
The Formation of Gujarat Astronomers Association will also be done.
The events for IAY also be think over.
So you are also invited for this meet the registration form and Letter is attached in pdf format
You can copy it and circulate to other interested astronomers or Clubs
We want your warm support and co operation
Note for participants
1 as whole night observation is there please bring suitable cloths with you
2 It you have a binocular or telescope bring with you if possible.
3 Bring compass Box and calculator with you for TSE09 workshop
4 The dormitory residents and food facility will be available at the vanue. The facility is available with the support of Osho Asram Managment
5. The nearest Railway Station is Porbandar (50 Km from the venue)
6 You can Reach the Madhavpur (Ghed) by Sate Transport And private vehicles from Porbandar or Mangarol.

Messier Marathon and Gujarat Meet 2009

Here is an announcement for Messier Marathon and Gujarat Meet for the year 2009
The venue is Osho Ashram At Post Madhavpur (Ghed) Dist Porbandar Gujarat
The program is like this (there may be slight change)

Arrival and registration at 4.00 pm
5.00pm welcome note, introduction and briefing about Messier marathon
6.00pm move to the location
6.30pm Setting the Telescopes and selecting the site for observation
7.00 Tea and Refreshment
7.30 the messier marathon start for full night
The dinner, Tea and breakfast will be served at the location

About The Place Madhavpur
Madhavpur (Ghed) is a small but culturally significant village in state of Gujarat. It lies on the seashore, close to Porbandar, birthplace of Gandhi.
According to folklore, lord krishna came to this village after kidnapping Rukmini and got married to her at this very place. In the memory of that event, there is a temple built for lord Madhavray. A celebration of this event is held at Madhavpur in memory of this marriage every year in a cultural fair.
Madhavpur also has one of the meditation centers of Osho
Recently a joint amphibious exercise Tropex-09 by the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and the Coast Guard was conducted on February 09, at Madhavpur beach
